I don’t think there’s anyone out there who wasnt amused by the recent, and now infamous, shoe throwing session that occured in one of Bush’s final speeches. I think many of us wished we had in fact thrown the shoe ourselves. It was so popular in fact that a statue was erected in honour of the thrower, but was removed this last week as being ‘inappropriate.’

As reported recently, Chinese Prime Minister, Wen Jiabao is currently in the UK to sign trade agreement documents. Whilst giving a speech in Mandarin at Cambridge University, someone has taken initiative in throwing a shoe at him, calling him a dictator. I have a feeling that shoe throwing is going to become the hottest new protest novelty. This undoubedly will not be the last time we see it!
